I. General Terms

1.1. Candle Genie (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a decentralized application (“dApp”) operating on blockchain networks including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and Base. These Terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Candle Genie.

1.2. By connecting your wallet, accessing, or using Candle Genie, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the full right and authority to enter into this agreement.

1.3. Self-Custody: You acknowledge that Candle Genie is a non-custodial interface. We do not have access to your private keys, passwords, or assets. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet and all transactions initiated through it.

2.1. Restricted Persons: Access to prediction and trading features is strictly prohibited for any person or entity located in, incorporated in, or a resident of the United States, United Kingdom, France, Ontario (Canada), Singapore, Australia, or any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions (e.g., North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Crimea, Donetsk/Luhansk regions).

2.2. No VPN Circumvention: You agree not to use Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), proxy services, or any other tools to obscure your location or circumvent these geographic restrictions.

2.3. Sanctions Compliance: You represent that you are not a person or entity on any economic sanctions list (such as OFAC’s SDN List, UN Security Council lists, or EU/UK consolidated lists).

II. Classic Predictions (Up/Down)

3.1. Candle Genie Classic Predictions is a price-prediction game. Users place bets on whether selected trading pairs will move “Up” or “Down” within a fixed time window (“Round”).

3.2. Winning bets are paid out based on the pool ratio at the time the Round locks. The payout is calculated as: (Your Stake * Payout Multiplier).

4.1. Source: The outcome of a Round is determined strictly by the price feed received by the Oracle/Smart Contract at the exact moment of the Round's closure.

4.2. Visuals vs. Execution: Chart visuals provided on the interface (sourced from TradingView or similar) are for reference only and may not perfectly match the execution price due to network latency or block time variances.

5.1. If the Predictions game is suspended or halted for technical reasons (e.g., Oracle failure, chain halt), all active and future bets in that specific session will be refunded in full.

5.2. Refunds are processed via the smart contract to the originating wallet addresses. Users must claim refundable amounts manually if automatic transfer fails.

III. AMM Markets (Outcome Shares)

6.1. Automated Market Maker (AMM) markets allow users to trade outcome shares based on real-world events (e.g., Crypto, Sports, News).

6.2. Unlike Classic Predictions, AMM markets are continuous trading environments where share prices fluctuate based on supply and demand until the market is resolved.

7.1. Decentralized Resolution: You acknowledge that AMM markets are resolved by decentralized oracles, specifically the UMA Optimistic Oracle.

7.2. Dispute Resolution (Kleros): In the event of a dispute regarding an outcome proposed by UMA, the Kleros arbitration protocol may be used as the final arbiter to determine the correct outcome based on the evidence provided.

7.3. No Centralized Control: Candle Genie provides the interface but does not control the resolution process. We are not responsible for any disputes related to market outcomes or oracle delays.

IV. Risk & Liability

8.1. Blockchain transactions are immutable. Once a trade or bet is confirmed on-chain, it cannot be canceled, modified, or reversed by you or by us.

8.2. All outcomes are verified and recorded on-chain. In the event of a discrepancy between the website display and the blockchain record, the blockchain record shall prevail.

9.1. You agree not to engage in market manipulation, wash trading, front-running, or any activity intended to deceive other users or distort market integrity.

9.2. We reserve the right to restrict interface access for any wallet address suspected of malicious activity or exploiting protocol vulnerabilities.

10.1. No Investment Advice: The content on Candle Genie is for entertainment and informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.

10.2. High Risk: Prediction markets and crypto-assets are highly volatile. You could lose your entire stake. Do not bet funds you cannot afford to lose.

10.3. Technology Risk: We are not liable for losses resulting from smart contract bugs, blockchain network failures, wallet compromises, or third-party service outages (including UMA/Kleros delays).

11.1. We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
