Event Prediction
A question, a handful of answers, and a pot behind each one. Back the answer you believe and split the pot with everyone who agreed with you — if you are right.
Where Price Prediction gives you two sides and a five-minute clock, Event Prediction gives you a question about the world. Main event: how does it end? Which region takes the opening series? Will BTC be above 77,000 at 23:00 UTC? Two to eight answers, one of which will turn out to be right.
This is the game where knowing something helps. It is also the game where you have to read before you enter, because every market states its own rule.
What is on a card
- The question
- Phrased so that its answer is one of the outcomes listed under it. Nothing else counts as an answer.
- The rule
- Open the market to read it. It names exactly what settles the question — a named candle, an official result, a published time — and what happens to edge cases.
- The multiplier
- What one unit staked on that answer returns if it wins, at the pools as they stand right now. It moves.
- Share of pool
- How much of the money is behind that answer. High share means a crowded answer and a small multiplier.
- Prize pool
- Everything staked in this market, the house's opening seed included.
- The three times
- When entries opened, when they stop, and when the answer is due.
Opening, lock and closing times are displayed in your device's timezone. A date or time written in an event's question or rule may use a different timezone; read the stated timezone when comparing them.
The closing time is the expected end of the event. Settlement may follow later, after the operator has checked the result against the published rule.
Why everything opens at the same number
A brand new market has no players in it, so there is nothing to divide. The house solves this by seeding — assigning a house contribution evenly across every answer. A market with three answers opens at 3.00× on all three; one with two answers opens at 2.00× on both.
That drift is the market. Nobody adjusts those numbers by hand — they are a division, recomputed every time money lands. A 6.00× multiplier means that answer holds one sixth of the total pool. It does not measure its chance of winning.
The life of a market
- 1CreatedThe question and its answers are hashed and the fingerprint is written on chain along with the seed. From this moment the wording is fixed — see Resolution & Trust.
- 2OpenEntries are accepted. Repeat entries and multiple answers are allowed, within one total stake limit per wallet for the whole event.
- 3LockedEntries stop for good. If the subject is a match or a series, this is where it kicks off. The card stays readable and its progress bar keeps running.
- 4Awaiting resolutionThe subject is over, the answer exists in the world, and the chain has not been told yet. The card covers itself because nothing on it can change.
- 5ResolvedThe winning answer is written on chain. Everyone who backed it can claim; everyone else's stake stays in the pot they lost it to.
Who settles an event
The operator submits the winning answer after checking the result against the event's published rule. The contract does not independently verify a sports result or other real-world outcome. Operator accuracy is a trust assumption.
Cancellation is blocked between the lock and the seven-day refund window. A resolved event cannot be cancelled or resolved again. If it remains unresolved for seven days after lock, you can request your stake back without operator action. Resolution & Trust sets out exactly what is and is not possible.
When you receive a payout or a refund
A valid result pays only the players who backed the winning answer. Refunds follow separate rules:
- Cancelled before the lock
- A postponed match caught in time, or a question that turned out to be unanswerable.
- Unresolved after seven days
- The refund window opens seven days after lock. Each player can recover their total stake, without a fee or operator action.
- Nobody backed the winner
- No player receives a payout. Losing stakes are not refunded.
- Everybody backed the same answer
- If that answer wins, the normal payout formula applies, including the house seed and reward rate. If it loses, those stakes are lost.
- Nobody played
- There are no player stakes to pay out or refund.
A draw is an ordinary outcome when it is listed. It pays its backers if selected as the winner; it does not automatically refund the other outcomes. Cancellation is also allowed after the refund window opens, but cannot change a resolved result.
The limits
- Minimum entry
0.001 BNB- Maximum total stake
10 BNBper wallet per event, across all entries and outcomes- Answers per market
- Two to eight.
- House cut
- 5% of the pot, and only on markets that pay out.
- Refund window
- Seven days after the lock, if the market was never resolved.
The entry screen reads the limits and reward rate stored for that event. These values may differ for future events if the operator changes the settings.
